Well I have a good start but it is still far from finished Almost every good TOY is far from finished. There is always something out there you'll want to add, change, and/or try out. ;DIt might just be me, but I think these tire are even too big for a monster truck.
Great work so far, looking good.
Did you order the Budbuilt x-member from Marlin or Budbuilt. Just wondering cuz Marlin has there x-member design specially built now through Budbuilt now. Either one is a great product, but I seem to like the Marlin design one a little more.

THX...yeah I can get some pics of it on tom. you can actually run 3 shox on each side but I just use two...I took them off and painted them cause I was borred and have not put them back on yet...I am goin with the new budbuilt through marlin they have been easy to deal with on all the other stuff so I figured I would stick with them and I like the Lighter weight design

Finally got some more stuff done on the truck I put a JVC cd player in two 6x9 speakers and a 10" punch sub with a 200 watt amp (sounds good but not overkill), made some diff. breathers, put roll on bedliner on all the interior metal, replaced the bench seat with some celica seats, I canceled my marlin X-member and ordered a flat one that gives 3" DT lift from budbuild. It all will be ready to drive tonight just have to lengthen the front drive shaft. I should have some pics on soon...

I have been working on finishing up my shifter plate. Also I have started and almost finished the four link. First we took a piece of 2"x4" sq. tube with 1/4" wall and went from one frame rail to the other to keep everything square. We built our mounts out of 1/4" plate and some 1/8" plate for some added support and to help with looks. Then with the rear we did the same thing with the 1/4" and 1/8" as the top and used trail-gear lower axle mounts widened 1/4" and drilled out to 3/4". Once the brackets were complete we notched the cross-member and made a hoop for the drive shaft from 2"x2" sq. 1/4" wall tube. Here is a mock up of my four link. There was some Diamond Steele so I cut it to fit the rock sliders...I ended up using tabs welded to the frame and tubing and counter-sunk screws to mount it. We cut the frame off about the top of the curve to get rid of the holes and support bars and all of that stuff then ran 2"x2"sq. 1/4" wall to extend the frame back almost to the end of the tires so I wouldn't have to worry about approach angles in the rear then gusseted it with some 2"x4" tube. We just used 1/4" Plate and a metal break to form our mounts nothing too special. I used 5"x16" coil springs to hold'er up and yes they are angled inward on purpose. Then once that was mostly done we got a start on the bed and rear end setup. I have more done but I have not had time to take pictures yet.

Yeah man use any ideas you want ...I'v got a couple ideas about how we're gonna bring it all together...I just wonder how the shocks will hold on the axle tube...work is goin kinda slow right now one of my buddies wife is sick and the other one has been in iowa workin for a week but we should be on track soon...I did get some new 39.5 iroks but they are on a pallet between here and oregon right now-(Didn't work out) and a $50 set of pretty worn out 39.5 iroks for a trail spare or to move my old jeep around...I don't know if I am gonna sand blast some old steel wheels and get some D.I.Y beadlocks or if I am gonna get some new bead locks.

If you don't mind me asking about how much did you spend on the steal? I have an 88 and am thinking about doing somthing similar. I was considering just buying the allpro tube bed.

I have right at 200 feet of 1.5" tubing on it right now but thats everything just keep in mind that it takes alot more tubing then you would think just measure first 1.5" hrew-approx. $2 ft. 2" .25 wall DOM-$9.95 ft.(cheap around here) 4'x8' sheet metal-$40 anything square or diamond plate was laying around the shop so I'm not sure on current pricing and there is some other stuff in there like some angle iron 1"x1" and some 1.5"x.5" steel bar that I don't remember the exact price on but the little stuff like that is cheap I would go for it
