My buddy in the Taco bought one of the last ORS link and bracket kits for a SAS before they closed and is in the process of acquiring all the rest of the parts. We have spent hundreds of hours on his truck. My roomie has spent a total of about two days upgrading his Rubicon with only a Rubicon Express lift and that rear bumper making it different than stock.

Man I just made the score of the decade! I picked up a complete 22re out of an 88 4runner for $400! The engine had just been rebuilt and the guy drove it for 3 weeks before some smuck in a car rear ended him and lifted a back wheel turning the runner on it's side. I am getting EVERYTHING for that price, engine, wiring harness, computer, fuel lines, gas tank, and all the little electronic necessities to make it work. Fuel injection here I come!!!!!!!! My bro is getting the transfercase and W56 tranny for $200. He is putting a lefty on his Taco with dual cases 2.28 and 4.7. Sadly I will probably have a small power loss due to all the goodies I put on the 22r, but it will be WELL WORTH IT to be able to crawl up steep hills without having to worry about dying out. Me being me, I will probably start doing what I need to do to get the new engine to a decent power level as money permits.

We have been driving thru trees constantly and are showing zero scratches, scrapes, or any other sign of wear and we are on our 3rd trip.

The 22re is in pieces in the garage. I'm waiting for a tremendous amount of stuff from LC Engineering including a Pro Fuel engine management system, air intake, fuel injectors etc.... The engine's cleaned up and ready for reassembly. The W-56 tranny is also ready. The second transfercase needs to be stripped to just the reduction gears. The current tranny has 4.7's in it, just need to break it down and install a 23 spline input shaft. I have 99.9% of everything I need. I am going to cut out the factory tunnel inside and fab up a new one to work better with all the shifters and allow the cb to be mounted under the front dash. I'm looking at some complete AC systems to put in since I trashed the factory system in the first build. I HAVE to have AC with the heat we get in Texas!
