hey fellas, ive had a prblem with keepin the air in one of my tires for about a month, then finally, today, went to the walmart and bought a patch kit for a cheap fix (i plan on gettng new tires in a month or two). I took it off, and pumped it to about 45-50psi, to let a lot of air get out of whichever hole it was goin out of, and ran some water over the tire. i found that the air was escaping through a bad seal, or something, on the base of the valve stem. does anybody know how to fix this without replacing the valve? that would be a real pain in the ass. thanks -Andrew

I don't know if this advice is too late... I have worked at Discount Tire Co. for over 6 years, replace the valve. If a shop doesn't give it to you for free it should only be a couple of bucks.
