I had been wanting the original owners manual for my runner for awhile, but didnt have any luck. Then couple of days ago while i was buying windows for my runner i came across the Owners Manual in very good condition. I got it free cause i bought awhole lot of windows lol. So if anybody needs any original info from a '88 4Runner or Pickup hit me up. Oh did u know that the sunroof comes completly off very easily!

Yea i know what u mean, i was planning on taking the inside of the cab off to see if i could take it off. But i realized is so so very very simple. Ok this is What u do. Open the sunroof like u usually do(it should be opened like a 2" right) the way we thought of fully opened, Then look at the "Remove" section, the middle picture See the two black arrows pointing in, well those are chrome lil arms, push them towards eachother and lift up, but before u there is a lil clip on the drivers side, unclip it and then then just lift straight up on the sunroof and WALA it should be off.

Heres something else i wondered. I would always see a lil black connector next to the gasfiller opener. I had checkec for current and one was positive and one negative, and were direct to the battey. So i would just use it as a power source for my test light. When i got my onwers manual it is ur a toyota inspection light. My scaner just started acting up ill get a pic later on

hehe, sorry boys, but I've known how to take that sunroof out since my Dad got his first 4Runner in '86, in fact, the pop-up roof is the only thing I miss on the '92 I'm driving now sorry, just had to throw it in there, it's always nice to know something someone else doesn't (or didn't) BTW, I've got the Haynes manual if anyone needs specs for anything. just gimme a shout on here

Carlos, that was slick ;D, followed your posted instruction and it popped right out PLUS I found out where the real irratating chatering noise was coming from when I`d run with the panel open the damn visor retainer clips (plastic) both sides broken. NB no need to be sorry for your comment no offense taken ;)after all thats what this B/B stuff was for passing info between people interested in the same things. later fellas ;D Daniel
