I have an 89 p/u with a 22RE. I don't have a tach, so I have no idea what rpms I'm running and when the right place to shift is. I go by mph: 1st to 20mph 2nd to 35 mph 3rd to 55mph 4th to 75 mph 5th to however fast she'll go Anyway I'm just wondering how you guys run your 4-poppers. I know the redline is at like 5,500, but I don't know if running it like this is close to the redline or not. I have 4.10s and 31s. I don't want to hurt my baby, so some help would be appreciated.......

I can shift into fourth at 60 and i am only runnin 4000 rpm's. It shouldnt hurt it at all depends onthe condition of your motor. I wouldnt do it all the time. My old El Camino had a mean ass small block with a built th350 tranny and I could rapp 1st out to 70 and then bark the tires into second. It was awesome.
