Yes, the 1984 is the same body style as the 1985. The 84 was the first year for the more square wheel wells. Also To the best of my knowedge the 1989 is the first year for the switch to the early 90's style for the pickup(my dad has one, it dosent look like my 84/85!) but I believe the 4runner kept the 84-88 pickup look through 89. SO the PICKUP changed in 89 and the 4RUNNER in 90. If I am wrong sorry, but, meh, where only human
