You dont need a kit, just get the 40 series these guys are talkin about and have your local shop set u up with some 2 1/2 piping. My buddy put a magnaflow on his toy and it was loud, it was a quiet purr.

The local exhaust shop would not do a cat back because of the o2 sensor after the cat, so they just went from o2 back . What about u redtoy92?

Hey, I'm new to these boards...been reading here the past couple of days though. I have a '98 Taco Pre-Runner, and am about to get a custom exhaust. My brother was going to do the welding for me, and he told me to buy a muffler. I was thinking about a Delta Flow 40 Series, and my brother said I should get a 2ΒΌ"...does anyone think there is anything better? Please let me know...I'm slowly trying to learn more about my Taco.

I went 2 1/4. Talked to people with 2 1/2 and they said they lost back pressure and have less power. I would go 2 1/4 that is what most shops recomend

Thank you, much appreciated. I just don't want to have to spend money and then find out I got the wrong thing. I want to get the most power and best fuel economy possible...and I wouldn't mind the exhaust being a little louder either.

thinkmaster do you have a 3.4 or a 2.4,2.7?/ if you have the 3.4 the 2.5 is the best allround size if you have one of the 4bangers then the 2.25 is perfect. redtoy92

No it shouldn't - except for the warranty on the original exhaust of course.

I've been thinking about putting in flowmaster on my 3.4 but I want my Taco to still sound like a truck, not a race car. Does it sound deep and throaty or does it sound like those guys in the lowered civics?

I paid 95 for stainless steel flowmaster muffler and 160 for custom bent ss pipes.. But the shop would not do cat back because of the o2 sensor, and where I am by law they cant remove the o2 sensor so they went from o2 back
