Yeah i think you can put on 33's. If not a small amount of body lift should help. You should try posting up on ttora.com and check. I've had friends do the lift and it wasn't a big deal. Post some before and after pics for the forum. Later

My buddy has an 02' ex cab with the fabtech 3.5'' and he is running 285\75\16's, basically a 33x12.50 no prob.

It all depends on the amount you crank the lift, the size of wheel and backspacing. Do you have ADD if so then for the 3.5 i would use a diff drop of at least an inch to ease up on the stress. The 285/75/16 are about the size of 32 11.5 which you could fit fine with 3inchs. redtoy92

I got a 2.5 in lift and I am running 33s so that is more than fine. Just if your worried about rubbing go with a 8in wheel instead of a 10, but with that extra inch you shouldn't have any problem.

Hey dude you shouldn't have any problem using 33 with the fab tech lift.I have a 2002 double cab prerunner with the 3.5 basic fab tech lift with 305-70-R16 and it works great, also you can get up to 4" with the same system in the front, that's what I got and the aligment shop had no problem aligning my truck.also I ended up with the pre runner look, wich is a little higher in the front. The fab tech system works great,I took my to baja Mexico for the 4th of july weekend and tested it on the dirt roads where the Baja 500 is held and drove my truck like 75 mph on those roads and it felt like I was hauling ass on a race boat,it was that smooth.

red85runner..... also know that going the full 3.5 inchs will almost stretch out your struts and it adds extra stress on the truck and the lift kit itself. I would not go anyhigher then 3 ichs with a inch diff drop if it was my truck. But hey what do i know?! Everybody so far says you can fit 33x 12.5 fine. But what they don't say is what size tire are they running?backspacing? if they have rubbing at full turn and offroad. If it was me once again i would go with 32 11.5 to help with the rub problem and to help out with your stock gearing. redtoy92

i heard that the stock axel on the tacoma is not strong enough to properly run 33's or larger, is this just a myth, or is it true? If i can run 33's, i'll most likely be getting the fabtech lift kit, does anyone know where i can get the diff drop talked about earlier?? Also I heard that when you get a body lift with standards, it makes your stick significantly short, i can see how this is true, but will it effect it that much, i plan on getting the suspension lift with a little body lift if needed, what kind of backspacking would i need to clear 33x12.50R15??
Thanks Chad

not true. they will run up to 35's and 250HP without problems. unless you wheel it like a bat out of hell all the time. They are compared to a dana 44. you can get a diff drop from revteck or cornfed or make your own www.customtacos.com/tech/index.php?page=index_v2&id=102&c=3 yes a body lift will lower your stick but most say a 2inch will not be a problem but a 3 you might need to add a 2-3inch setcion to the stick. if you run the fatbech at 2.5 and a 2inch body you will fit 33 12.5's on 15x10's with 3 1/2- 3 3/4 and on a 15x8 you can run the same set up. red

- Hey that's a pretty awesome site, never knew about it...One thing I did notice is that all it says is differential spacers, is this something i can get at an autoparts store or where do i get these spacers?

I am not sure but all they are are a 1/2inch rubber gasket. You should be able to find them at a hardware store. or if worst comes to worst a stack of washers like they say! later red

It depends on what kind of wheeling you do or if you just plan on this being a dialy driver. I have an 02 Tacoma with 2 1/2" suspension kit and a 3" body lift and 33" interco M/Ts and my tires still rub offroad but I do go rockcrawling with mine. You cannot drop the diff on Tacomas because the third member rest on top off a crosmember in the rear. If you don't have manual hubs, which no 02 Tacomas do that I am aware of, then you cannot go over 2" suspension unless you buy a complete suspension lift kit. If you do the cv axles wear out quickly not too mention the fact that they roar going dwon the road. The best thing to run 33 s would be the Fabtech 6" suspension lift. Then you won't have to worry about clearance problems even if you wanted to do hardcore wheeling. You would even be able to run a 35X12.50 on an 8" wide wheel if you mainly drove on the street with a little mild wheeling.
