Ok, not much of a mechanic here, so lots of help.
I have a 02 xtra cab v6 4x4 that needs some bigger tires. I have 265/70/r16 stock TA's on now. I want something both bigger and wider (stock looks way to narrow)
I am not sure how much it would be to get 33's on a mostly stock truck. Anyone know. (sorry, I know it's pretty open ended)
Thanks.

you have about he biggest tire you will fit on the stock truck. you can go to 265/75/16's and be okay but not much of a difference.

On your tacoma you cant go bigger than that 275 without rubbing stock, if you put on a 2 inch spacer kit or body lift you could run 32's. 33's would require over 3'' of lift. Just my two cents.

the 275 will rub at full flex when wheeling but other then that it will work. I would have at least 3inchs of lift for 32's and 4-5 for 33's (with 12.5 and on 8's or 10's) you can run 33's with 10.5 on 8's with 3inchs of lift.

I run a 99 2.7 4x4 i had a set of bridge dulers @ 31 x 10.5 x 15. the suspension is stock and no trd pkg. it did barely touch on very tight corners but just enough just touch at full turn. also the acell dropped w/ mpg but then its a 4 not a 6
