I have a 99 2.7 4x4. Im looking to put exhaust on it. Im not sure if NWOR 's headers and exhaust is worth the price. headers back is a whopping $1100. I can pick up other performance headers for less but r they worth it?. also i can get gibson (which i have used on other trucks and loved) at a greatly reduced price but once again r the NWOR's better?

I've heard NWOR is pretty pricey on stuff. But I bought a alternator from them and liked the one I got. I haven't heard anything about doing the headers on the tacoma. I would be really interested to see it. Good luck

;D I've put headers/exhaust on many vehicles. Never really noticed. The sound changed. But that was it. I'd start Cat-back & see how you like it. That's alot of $$$. Also, you're dealing w/a pretty new truck. If you live in an area w/emissions insp., you could have a problem. I specifically remember Muddin' Mamas posts on the probs. she had w/her header. Later...

Thanks for the info. turns out i have a cracked manifold any way. F.Y.I. NWOR does not make a header for my truck. its an auto (seems to be rare in a 2.7 4x4) and tehy say the tranny doesnt allow enough clearance. nay hoo downey apparently dissagrees. any hoo i should have it in a few days w/ a new cat back system. (performancecombos.com had a smoking deal)

If you have a 99 taco 2.7 auto trans I would like to see this if it is an auto trans. I tried to look up parts in the catalog and they do not list anyting for 2.7 w/auto trans only 2.4 and these are in the 2x2's the 4x4's get 2.7 manual trans. I'm not doubting you its just very strange because if this is your set up you are going to have a very hard time getting parts and I myself wouldn't put headers on like said before start with cat back I think you will be pleased with it  check with the dealer there was a recall not sure on all details |

Thanks for the info. The headers are comming already. nay how it was cheaper than the manifold. should be the next week. I'll let yall know how it turns out.

also bout the 2.7 auto shoot me an email. i can send u pics or a copy of the window sticker. you are soo right. most places think im nuts when i tell them what i have including toyota. must be a rare breed.

I tried digging around some more and nothing the only thing I can think of is that it might be a pre production test model I had a taurus 86 w 5spd manual there were only 500 of them I had a hell of a time finding parts finally like they all do [dorfs] it died I used it for my trade in on my TACO
