I'm new to this site and was wondering about the pros and cons of the diesel. I love diesels (my car is a new Jetta Wagon w/diesel) and raised on a farm so I kinda have a soft spot for them!! They certainly aren't talked much on here...I'm surprised because they are so popular across the ocean. Are they more fuel efficient? Are they sluggish? Any info would be great.

there real sluggish, but they put out a ton torque do a search to find out info on the subject

I don't think many diesels make it to the US, at least I've never seen a tacoma diesel.....but it would be something to see

they make the toyota diesel overseas. i drive a 2.4 Turbo tacoma all the time here in germany. as far as a swap I think it would cost to much to do so you would be better off buying a gas tacoma or a diesel dodge,chevy,etc
