you can do the air box mod throttlebody mod exhaust what are you looking to accomplish

Umm, just about every mod you can do to any engine....you can do to the 3.4. You can do intake, exaust, cams, valves, supercharger, the question is how much money you want to put into it? I have a intake and working on the cat-back. This is all I need and want to pay for. The options are endless....everything on the engine can be "modified"

all righty then  lets start with free to cheap then cheap to $100 $100 to 250 $250 to 500 $500 to 1000 my main consern is more power better seat of the pants feel  you guys know what i mean duane |

Well for starters, if you want something for free, you can do the air box mod. From what I read on the forum it's pretty easy to do, all you need is a drill. I myself bought my K&N FIPK, i think those are the correct letters, off of ebay brand new for 150. I don't know how much the K&N helped gas mileage, but it has an awesome sound and better acceleration. Also they sell this chip on ebay that gives you a "twenty" HP gain, by "tricking" the computer to think the intake air is colder then what it really is.....for some reason i've never liked "tricking" the computer....

Allright then try this 1. air box mod w/k&n replacement filter total$$ about $60 2.exhaust start with a highflow cat $70 to a $150 a flowmaster 40 series e-bay $50 and finish with ss pipes 2.25 dia. muffler shops vary too much to give a price. and if this isn't enough put a mid range cam stage 1 around $300-$500 and chips are a waste of money

But like an other posted you "do not "need a drill! 100-250 would be a new exhuast system! a muffler of choice with a 2.5 cat back system. go to a local shop and they can do all the work and parts for under 200. 250-500 would be some headers. the TRD headers are a good choice and give you some mid range increase. 500-1000 would be some new gears(doesn't increas engine power but lets you engine transfer more to the wheels with deeper gears and your first,second and thrid will have more take off. the best thing is the charger but you are looking at about 2000 to 3000 for that. also that cheap they are talking about is a rip off! do not get it! red |
