Hey man...check out some of the other threads for info....i know that subject has been touched apon many times. I myself have posted almost the same question except for my 99. Basically you can either go 4" with very minimal rubbing (system i'll probably go with) or the 6" for no rub, and the chance to put 35's. Also you can check out this thread.... mkelly.proboards22.com/index.cgi?board=Tacomas&action=display&thread=1061612213 ...trust me....there are TONS of threads about lifts and running 33's. Chad

It really depends on what kind of clearence your looking for. Im running the Cornfed (cornfedsuspension.com) 3" complete kit with 2" rear blocks, and clearing 33's w/o any problems ( pinch welkd mod ) and can do moderate off-roading. 6" w/33's looks like it has way to much clearence if you ask me, but again - its all what your looking for. yes the fabtech lift comes with everything you need. But some places don't sell the rear shocks with the kit so ask and make sure they do or add them to it. red

The Fabtech is a great lift and comes with everything but there are a few companies who don't include the rear shocks so just make sure you get them when you order. I just got mine this week and I am installing it the weekend, I'll let you know more about it then.

Hmmm....That doesnt make to much sense to me I have an 01 xtr 4x4 with stock suspension and its riding 31's (sucky bfg all terrain)with plenty of clearance enough that i was at good year today looking at my next tires 32 pro comp muds. were pretty confident i could fit 33's but rubbing could possibly become an issue at that point. Was the 98 a lower riding truck? or is there an unseen problem with my new selection of tires

Was the 98 a lower riding truck? or is there an unseen problem with my new selection of tires It's not necessarily the height of the tire that causes the problem, it's the width. The wheel well may look like it has plenty of room left for a taller tire, but unless you go to a smaller width, it isn't going to work without pounding and cutting the truck. A 32 may indeed fit on your stock Tacoma (any year), but the width would have to be 9.5 or 10.5 so you don't encounter any rubbing issues. Also, tire sizes aren't exact. If I'm not mistaken, ProComps run small for their size (I don't remember exactly, but I do know Dunlops and Goodyears run a little small). The 32's you're getting aren't exactly 32 inches. They may very well be the same size as your BFG's. I'm currently running 32's with 5.5 inches of lift. Personally, I don't think it looks that bad. I do want 33's, but I came acrossed these BFG's practically brand new for $250, and I couldn't pass.
