I have a 01 and i love it and I think its the best because i have the sexy fenders that match the color of my truck. You older trucks have black ones. HA! Only problem... i dont have the "Oh Shit Bar" on the drivers side which ever year before me has... i was wondering if someone could maybe take it or help me find it off an older taco so i can replace it myself... even though its a 5 speed i feel that i still need that bar! I WANT IT!~ Yes 2001!

I own a '99 with 150,000 miles and it still runs strong. I like the grill on it better than any of the other first generation Tacomas. They are all as tough as nails though.

never have any problems out of my 96 that i didn't inflict on it (i.e. broke front axle)

hey guys new here iwant to get a toyota and get away from this coloy (chevy) so what was the year the locking rear fisrt offered and one more can the 2.7 with 5sp handle towing arond 1000 to 1500 lbs this would be my boat to my mowers thanks up front for the info
