okay so I was leaving school going to work, when i first strat my truck i know that it is idling rough I drove on and I noticed when I put the engine under a load, it shook real bad. Then my check engine light started blinking. I've always been told that if the check engine light is blinking it's a smart idea to pull over quick. Well then the check engine light stopped blinking and turned off.
That was not the end...i kept driving and everytime I tried to accelerate it felt like i had no power there was a bad shake, I went to pep-boys..(on the way to my work)..and put some injector cleaner in there thinking maybe a cylinder was missing due to a clogged injector or something.
I put my hand next to the exaust and i could feel the exaust being pushed out but it had dead spots, this makes me think one of my cylinder's is missing. It's not a constant dead spot, it happens at random times. When i got to work my check engine light came on this time it was steady and not blinking. Does anyone have any other suggestions??
I drive a 3.4L V6 1999 Taco with 134 thousand miles; i replaced the spark plugs/wires about 15 thousand miles ago but didn't replace the coils.
Thanks, Chad

Upon replacing the spark plugs....looking at the wires...i found this.... this is why it was random and not constant, it was just causing the spark to be weaker than normal and it wasn't constantly ground itself on the head. Lesson learned: there's just some stuff better bought at the dealership and paying more than buying cheap aftermarket. It would of saved me 40 bucks if i would have just went with the factory to begin with Problem solved
