Hey guys. I am looking for a 10" suspension lift for my 1998 Tacoma Prerunner. Does anyone know of a company that makes these kind of lifts. Don't hate me for lifting a 2wd, I just like them lifted beter than stock. And as far as mud riding, I really don't do alot of that anyway. Also anyone have some good links for looking at some tacomas lift really high. Thanks for the help.

ive never heard of a 10 in. susp. lift, youd pobably need to get a 4wd and sas it combined with body lift to recieve that much lift

soild axle swap how does doing a SAS get 10" of lift ? with what is avail you could get the 6" lift kit and at most a 3" b/l unless you are a master fabricator and can make your own kit I have seen a 14" homemade kit but it is on a show only rig other than on and off the trailer it never touches pavement/or dirt

standard SAS and some lift springs. its not hard. anyway why do u want 10 inches of lift. i woudl pre run that thing by using a baja kit and some glass fenders that will keep the lift down and also let u run big tires

I'm just breaking your stones cause you didn't give any explanation lol because just doing a SAS is not gonna give him any lift at all
and I totally agree with a baja set up would be def better set up for a 2wd there is a new kit out that uses factory ball joints and replaces the upper and lower arms but you have to get TUNDRA front axles to replace the taco ones it's on e-bay and I'm gonna get the upper a arms for my rig

i would rather run rebuildable uni balls it will give more travel and rebuildable for like 5 bucks. total chaos has lidts like this.

I am just wanting to be able to run some 40" tires is why I thought I would need that much lift to be clear tires that big.

sas wont give you any lift but it will make it a lot easier to get that much lift than with ifs and it would be stronger too

I dont mean to burst any bubbles here! But why put that much time and money for 40 inch tires if you are goin to have a 2wd. I def agree with a baja race setup. Put your money into a supercharger and a long travel suspension kit like Drew mentioned from total chaos! Run 31" tire and youd be aight. 40 inch tires on a prerunner is slightly overkill and rediculous!

there are a few guys around town that are running 37s on a pre runner u still want a larger tire but a 40 inch tire on IFS is goin to be kinda hard to fit thats all i was gettin at. esp with the smaller wheels wells and being unable to move the axle forward.

40's on a IFS set up def no good unless you have alot of money for replacement parts. bearings,cv's, axles, ect cause the TOYOTA IFS system is def not built for that much weight and stress even for a mall cruiser maybe a show only rig

He has a PRE-RUNNER(2WD) SAS is not the answer to his prob he's not gonna wheel this rig If you got some tires for sale put them in the for sale section (if you haven't already) and I wouldn't give up my IFS even if you were paying for the parts for the swap

I think the total chaos kit gives you wheel travel more than lift, most pre runner setups iv seen use a 33'' tire and the big fenders.I thought about getting this kit and also using an airbag system too..to adjust it to the height I want ...And maybe swing arm the rear, ;D and maybe use 35s... :-/Iv seen them on TV use airbags to get some serious lift...
