any ideas what to do to fix oil in the intake hose going from the air cleaner to the throttle body on the 3.4? As long as I'm replacing the head gasket might as well fix it all. Thanks.

Could be from over oiling a K&N type filter. If you are using a stock style paper filter. I would clean the tube out and drive a short distance and look at it to see where the oil is coming in.

It is not uncommon for oil to be in the throttle body over time. You definately don't want a lot of oil in there or fresh oil either. But it does happen. Sometimes some oil finds its way in a vacuum line headed for the throttle body.
Major oil could be caused from high pressure in a vacuum line. Too much oil in engine, or if its turbo charged a blown turbo will cause a LOT of oil to be in the intake manifold.
