Well since tha gas prices aren't gonna go down enough. I'm kicking around the idea of not re-building my '85. I'm leaning towards just going all out with the Taco. My '85 has 410HP Chevy 350 and can guzzle fuel about as fast as you can fill it.I have the front axle & rears for the front springs. I have the 63" chevies for the rear. Another reason for doing this is that since the last accident when the lady ran the stop sign. I have been chewing up tie rods both inner and outer and I've replaced everything on the passengers side. After which my truck has a good allignment tires are wearing properly but I keep replacing tie rods and the so called upgraded one's are wearing out faster than the stock one's. I have spent too much $ on replacements that I would have had over half the $ needed for the rest of the SAS parts needed. So I'm thinking about swaping out my front third that has the ARB and selling it to help pay for the kit I'll need.

Well it's now in stone I will be doing a SAS on my Taco. I'll be using my front axel from my '85. I also just scored a '85 chevy 4x4 so my truggy project will be getting full size axle's and a newer than what I already have drivetrain.
I will spend the next few months buying and gathering up everything else needed for this and hoping to tear into it over the winter. I gotta get a high-steer kit and SAS kit from either Marlin or TG. A 2" drivetrain lift from Roger Brown. Crossmember, belly-pan and t-case clocker from BudBuilt. And plenty of help from my buddie's ;D

I think I hear $$$
So what is the dreaded verdict on the ARB'd front assy? You are gonna have to put a price on it......
You must have had a nice weekend away....to relax and make the final decisions to foof the truck.
Obviously, the motor must be 100% now...... Or is it?

The motor is gonna get re-done again. (I gotta stop street racing) The ARB is already spoken for when I'm ready. My rig is going to be paid off so that will free up alot of $ And I have a beater to use so it shouldn't be that bad.
