;D The East Coast 4Runner Jamboree '07 will be held at Rausch Creek from June 22-24, 2007. Mark your calendars, and schedule your time off from work now! For those who have been before you know the deal. For those who haven't been and may not have heard about it, this event is pretty informal and is open to anybody with a 4WD Toyota, stock condition or highly modified. There will be guided trail groups for all skill levels, from first timers to old veterans. More details will be coming soon, but here is some basic info: *Cost will be $30 per day, R.C.s regular fees. *Hopefully there will be a raffle of some sort again (details are still being sorted out). Last year we had awesome prizes from Trail-Gear, BudBuilt, and Inchworm. *Camping will be on site at Rausch Creek. This is primitive camping, with only porta potties and no other facilities. Be sure to check out EC4RJ '05 in the July '06 issue of Four Wheeler magazine, and then check out EC4RJ '06 in the February '07 Off-Road magazine. Check back soon for more up-to-date info. . . There is a KOA campground not far away w/all the amenities. Motels,B&B's, whatever... are readily available. Thanks to Beateryota for the info! Later...

I have been good. Sorry for the late reply. I have been pretty busy with work and getting vehicles sorted out while trying to find the time and money to put a few finishing touches on my rig.

The woman's rig is coming along. We need to find some rockwells and start leading the frame since its all pitted from years of rust. Everything has been stripped at this point. I am tired of running the angle grinder and wire wheel, I think we need to rent a big sand blaster for a weekend. Hopefully in the next few weeks, we can start stripping down the engine, figure out the suspension whether it be linked with coilovers, coil springs, or the traditional leaf setup. The cab is in pretty decent shape, needs new floor pans and rockers. The bed is pretty much f'd. The bedsides are rather wobbly from rusted out supports and the wheel wells need some TLC. Other then all that its going pretty well. I am much happier restoring this ford then trying to attempt her 46 Studebaker.

She own's a 46 Stude? That's friggin sweeet! I love the pre-50's cars.My fathers friends are restorer's for the classics. Kenny just finished his 49 ford coupe and Ricker just finished his Trio 55 chevy 4door a 56 Nomad and a 57 2dr The 55 is factory original the 56 is street modified and the 57 is a pro street it took him 18 years to complete all 3. 4 link and coils and if I see anything on some rockwells I'll let you know.

Wow! I would def like to see some of those cars! I know Marissa's Studebaker is pretty beat since it was found in the overgrown bushes along the road. I am sure the thing sat in the there for 15 years if not longer.
The only thing in good shape is the bed, front clip, and hood. Everything else is poo. I spent about 10 minutes on the truck a month or two back and was able to get the motor turning over but couldn't get spark. Once we get the ford finished I am going to put some time into the Studebaker, hopefully making it a mud bogger on 54's or something LOL.

I will definitely let you know when we start that project down the road from now. First things first, we gotta get this 77 finished and out the door so we can open up some room in the shop. Its gettin a bit tight with a completely stripped 77 ford, parts from that, lumber and the 46 all in one bay.
And all I want to do out of all this is finish my toyota...lol
