just fine I tested two dif set ups the first I used 4" to 4"pvc flex fitting but it was too thick and wouldn't clear the reiforcement so my brother frank is a prof. detailer and I was cleaning the rig I saw this stuff on the shelf and it hit me so I took some and taped it to one of the tips and took off down the highway came back about a 1/2 hour later took it off and it was all good keep in mind good exhaust tips won't retain heat after driving awile I can touch(not grab hold of them) the tips not the pipe and not get burned the pipe has plenty of clearance the right side took all of ten minutes three bends done the left side now there is some serious snake work going on it took over an hour just to bend it but we'll see after acouple of months how the moldings are going to hold up it's hardened rubber so I believe I'm all set

What do you use to clean the exhaust from the chrome bumper and pipes?

This is a tip on the cat. On my 88 there is an oxygen sensor right before it, if you take it out you get a lot more sound and power......BUT you get very bad gas milage. Another thing is that your exhaust will hit under your cab and it might make it rust, so I think a lawn mower muffler might bolt up to it and then you can cut the muffler part off and leave the pipe and then weld an extender on it from another pipe. It sounds pretty loud. I done it on my go-kart and then put the muffler on my yotor, I liked it but the cops didn't. They made me take it off after the wondered for about 2 weeks what was on it. The crawled under it just to see. I couldn't believe it.

hello, sence we're on the subject of exhaust mods, I was wondering where I can re-route my exhaust for my 90 4runner so that it doesn't billow in with the back window down? I've grown accustome to the fumes, but all passengers get too high. has anyone found a good spot to put it? thanx alot daniel

I recently re-routed 4xfred's exhaust with a tow strap LOL His is now going out at the corner of what's left of the rear bumper at a upward angle ;D

Did the heat ever affect the chrome on the bumper? I'd be afriad to cut holes in a bumper up here....even it the exposed metal is only 1/32 of an inch thick, you know damn well the road salt (and this new fangled spray shit they put on the roads) would get in there and consume the bumper within a year Looks (er....looked) awesome though!

No problems at all. Chrome still looks like when I bought it. Besides I keep my rig very clean between trail runs.

Ok one more....does it sound like a rapped hornet trapped in a coffee can? I need to replace my exhuast (2 years worth of road salt since it was last replaced), but I'm too damn afraid to make it sound like a bumble bee. Still, Roger Brown's sound clip of his 22re sounds ok on his website :-?
