i don't know if you guys have tried this stuff but di-electric grease works great for ignition systems. i put it inside the sparkplug wires then press them on. it keeps the water from getting in there and it keeps them from getting all corroded in there. also another idea a friend of mine has come up with and done is taking an empty quart container of oil, cutting it down one side to open it up and clean it out, then putting the coil in there and using goop to seal it up. keeps water from splashing up and messing it up. don't kno how well it would work underwater yet but i'm sure it won't be long.

yes I used the di-grease on the connector side (for the contacts) then on back of the connector where the wires feed in I coat that with silicone as well

the stuff that i use is a spray on water proof bandage,its available from chemists(drug store)

i use silicone around the dist cap and this spray on di-grease its like a glue around the boots and coil
