I have finally decided what i want to put on my tacoma after the 3in. sus. lift is installed. I'm going with the 265/70/16 SSR's. I have 245/75/16 & they said i can only go to a 265/75/16 after the lift & i was searching on the net & the 265/70/16 is as close as i can get. Give me your opions on the SSR's.

Any Interco tire except the Thornbird would be a good choice. The SSR is also more street friendly if this is a DD.

if you go on the interco site the 32x11.50R16LT SSR isn't so far off in specs.. Seems as if they are going the more concervative route telling you that the most you can stuff in the lifted 05 Taco is a 265/75/16 profile.. What wheels are you using and do you know if it's backspaced or offset? I have an 05 too and will be modding it out sometime soon.. keep us posted..

i know for a fact that 265/75-16s will not rub on stock suspension. now with a 33 i have not really decided. it will be damn close to rubbage depending on width it looks like. im looking at getting some 265/75-16s but i cant really seem to decide what tire i actually want to get. it seems like every person has a different tire that is "amazing" and they have never ridin on anything better. it makes picking one so hard. but i am really looking at the trXus from interco.

P.S. the 265/75 is just a shade smaller than 32x10.5 if i remember my calculations correctly

i ran a 35 inc ssr for a few months they worked ok. they are really heavy they were pretty worn and weighed more then brand new 37 inch MTRs and the weight wasnt in the side wall. with that being said the sidewalls are not the greatest i worried about mine when wheelin and i have seen several sidewalls rip under minor wheelin

The SSR's are alot tougher than you think I ran one with a 6"gash in it and was able to fit a 1/2 tube of silicone in it for over 40,000 miles and still wheeled the hell out of them. I am running the 33x12.5's now and love them

I'd still feel more comfy with a true inner rubber patch..... Great tires..... True to the SS name. Can't say how many times I've used zip-ties and patches on side walls. Dangerous, but gets you home. Steel/nylon belts make a big difference. Stew

Can't use a inner patch on the outside tread. There was never a puncture just one hell of a gash
