im gonna be running 33/12.50 tires without any lift, im gonna crank my T bars and do a small shackle lift in the rear, but for now thats about it, i was just wondering how much backspacing you would suggest for my new tires?

I would say at least 3.75" or less but I would have them fit checked for sure. I know on a Tacoma it takes about a 6" lift to fully clear 33's with out having to trim too much. That is a very wide tire and it may rub on the upper control arm. Also if you plan to wheel it you may want to go a bit shorter and narrower like a 32/11.5 and that will fit and compress better.

on the same line as his question, does anyone know from experience ect.. if wheel adapters/spacers are a good idea. i have a 98 tacoma with 32 11.5 and im trying to get my tires to stick out further(i like using my tires as bumpers in a way, just last night i scratched the shit out of my side doing a ravine because of a verticle side wall that could have been prevented with wider or tires that stick out further) so please give me some response because im in need of help.
thanks

wheel spacers are not a good idea unless you have no other option. They cause excessive wear on your bearrings, seals and cv's. Plus you have to check them very frequently to make sure that the lugs are still tight they have been known to come loose. Also have seen one break off altogether at the studs on a full size Blazer to much weight hanging out there

... does anyone know from experience ect.. if wheel adapters/spacers are a good idea.. thanks On my 4Runner I run 1.5" spacers on the front to give me the same width as the wider IFS axle I swapped into the rear. Never had a problem with them, nor has anyone else I know that has them.
