I have a 1985 toyota 4x4 pickup with a 3" (?) lift. It currently has 33x12.50R15LT M/S SuperSwampers on it. I don't really plan on doing any serious mudding with the truck, mostly on road driving and hunting/fishing vehicle. I would like some decent all-terrain tires. What size will fit my rims? Also, should I consider an extra set of rims since I might keep these tires in case I do decide to do a little off roading? What size rims should I get? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

If you feel like getting nice AT's go with BFG AT's. I have 33" Tacoma AT's I got them for less than 100 each at the local tire kingdom. They are more aggressive than the BFG's and cheaper. I do alot of highway drvn so I got AT's too, Mudtires=more rolling resistance=worse gas mpg.

the real question is what size tires do you want to run? if you want to go with 31s Id go walmart liberator or the mastercraft courser at which is a really good looking tire(and real cheap ). But if you wanted 33" or more Id go with the courser at or the nitto terra grappler

personally id go with a 33" rather a 31" because thats what you got now. just think of a 2" shorter tire and thats what you will have with a 31. on my 93 i got 2" of lift and they got some 30x9.50 wal-mart liborators and they look to small. so id go with a 33, there more expensive but youll be glad you chose them in the long run.

If your Swampers still have good tread, keeping them (mounted) is a good idea, never know when a spare set of tires may come in handy.
A good A/T tire is the BFG AT, good traction, good wear, not noisey.
A 12.50 tire can go on a 8-10" wide rim.

I've alway have two sets of tires setup on rims. My 35" BFG AT for my daily diving and my 36" STL swampers for the weekends. the BFG are nice tires. I'm going on 2 years with them and still have about 10/32 of thread left on them. I even wheeled with them a couple of time and they did good on the rock and also the snow.
