What is the difference between add a leaf and blocks? Which is better for off road use?

I'll assume you understand the physical difference between them. A add a leaf will usually make the spring pack stiffer which means less flex. The block on the other hand will retain the original spring rate of the suspension, but can cause axle wrap under hard acceleration. Either is a comprimise and I'm not sure one has a technical advantage over the other.
