a buddy of mine did his sas on his 93 v6 truck about 3-4 months ago using 7" skyjacker front and 6" rear springs and 3" blocks in the rear. the truck has front and rear lockers 5:29's with 38.5 boggers. ok here is the problem he has all ready bent the hell out of the rear springs ( two different set's ). now i know and he knows the blocks in the rear are adding to the problem of bending the springs. the springs are so bent that the pinion on the rear end are almost binding the u-joint on the drive shaft. the reason he put the blocks in the rear of coarse was to level out the truck. does any one know of a company that makes a set of springs of 9-10 inches for the rear of an 93 that will hold up to the torque that he is putting on this truck.
the past two weekends out wheeling he has been putting full size trucks on 44's to shame going through the mud holes they were getting stuck in and him in twd on most holes.
sorry the post is so long! thanks mud!

ok i will. it's funny he called me and told me he ordered a set of 8" springs from them. the guy he talked to seemed to know what he doing. he knew all the measurments and everthing right off the top of his head. he even wanted to know if my buddy wanted the springs to flex or if he wanted the springs to be stout. the springs are going to run him just over $500.00 us. later!

WOW..thats kinda pricey. But yet they are MTO springs so i guess its in the right ball park. I have spoke with the fellas there at customsuspension a few times. They are very helpful. But back to your buddies issue with the springs bending. It sounds like this is a mud truck and flex isnt too overly important. I would definately suggest some ladder bars (traction bars). Those boggers really bite when they hit hard bottom and just plain bite hard anyways so I am sure with the block in there he was getting too much axle wrap which in turn has bent up his springs. Even with the new springs hes gonna put on, it might be a wise idea to install some sort of ladder bar to keep things from twisting. www.budbuilt.com/new/traction_bars.html

91 that's just for the back springs! a few years back i called national spring to see about a 10" lift and they wanted $1400.00 just for the springs.
bowshtr ya it's a mud truck. he's going to have to put a trac bar or a ladder bar. i looked at that budbuilt. it looks good but the price is high in my book. he will end up building one himself he's got all the tools. later!
