I never actually played Myst, but I have seen it - and sold it at a computer store I used to work at. It was pretty cool - any you are right, much higher level than this.

Once you cut up the triangle with the laser you have to place it in the security panel in the form of a triangle, that opens the door, or gives a key or something. Can somebody tell me whether or not I have to light up this entire wall of green switches, becuase that looks like a pain...

Yes theres a trick, since this is such a HARD mystery this will be the last thing i TELL you how to do, the rest i will give you hints.
Starting on the very left from top to bottom, you click the first one, then click the 4th one i think, the skip 3 holes and hit the next, and so on till you get to the bottom. If that was right the hole first row should be green, if not then retry it just click every other one or so on the first row till the FIRST row is all green.
Once you have the first row all green, go to the third row, click in the third row any block that has a black block to the left of it, wether or not the block you are clicking is black or green, if the immediate left of it is black, then click it, but you must go top to bottom. Then do the next row like that, and the next, and the next till your done.

You use your piece of paper and put it on top of the note in the first room, then trace it with the pen and put it in the out box. Once the little transport thing goes by, click the in box and their will be a red wheel

What do you do in the room with the pool table? I have the screwdriver, used the coin to play and used the chalk, but thats it.

gotta use the stick to hit the balls in. Move your mouse over the stick and it will move into position. Get it right, or you will have to go find another coin. Oh, and use the white ball to get started.
