Well....The cost of fuel compared to the cost of living compared to inflation..... we are, sadly.....doing better than alot of other country's. In Europe, they pay almost 1-1/2 times as much and in some places twice. We've just been brought to take gasoline for granted. We aren't in Iraq because our goverment cares about people and their freedom. Did anyone notice during this last "war" that we had no air-base in Turkey? Our "Allies". The same with Saudi Arabia? Our Allies? Injured soldiers, to this day are transported to Germany of all places..... A little far for someone in critical condition don't you think.
Sorry, gas prices do "suck", but I'd rather pay more than see teen's in the US military sacricficed daily for Oil. I do support and stand behind our goverment 100%. My father is high ranking military. It's has just been scary to grow up, seeing in depth the perils we go through in the struggle for oil control.
anyway...... $2.29 gal here in central New York. glad I didn't do the v-8 swap 4-cyl all the way till she blows...... Stew #nosmileys

Well I live in a border town in Northwestern Ontario and I just filled up in the states today and it was $2.229/gal and i figured out how much it was on the Canadian side which i live on and it was $2.88/gal. Thats a really big difference for being about 2 miles away but only because of the border. All i can say is i am glad i have a Toyota and not some big gas guzzling V8.

Toyota needs to make a hybrid tacoma, that would get somewhere in the neighborhood of 30mpg and have the power of the 4.0, they would sell like hotcakes!

for anyone who doesn't know, you can check out www.gasbuddy.com and find the cheapest stations in your area... might be worth saving a couple bucks if you do a lot of driving... more money for mods!
