Well everyone i am off to Afghanistan. I don't know if i will be able to keep up with the site but i thought i would write one last time just in case i can't get back on here till next January. 3 weeks ago i was moving my wife and 2 girls back to Minnesota from western Washington where i am stationed (so they can be around family while i am on the other side of the world) when my family car, a 2002 ford Taurus, died on 405 not 3 hrs. into the trip. Well i babied it to Spokane where i told my wife that I was going to get what i wanted in the first place for a family car... A 4 door truck ;D She said fine it was all up to me. so now after 6hrs at the stealership I find my self the proud owner of a 2005 Tundra TRD Quad cab. The truck is absolutely beautiful. loved it the whole way to Minnesota where i promptly passed my wife the keys and kissed all 4 of them (wife, kids, truck) good bye and hoped a flight back. I guess just looking at pics of her will have to do for the next 6 months or so. So take it easy everyone JW

Be safe. My sven month stent is almost over. Remember, the first three suck, but the last two are the best. The middle point is almost routine, but not really. Keep your head down and come home safe.

WELL KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN AND BE SAFE. IF YOU GIVE UP YOUR ADDRESS MAYBE WE COULD GET YOU SOME CARE PACKAGES OUT TO YOU AND SOME BUDDYS OF YOUR'S. I KNOW HOW NICE IT IS TO PACKAGES FROM BACK HOME. Well i got lucky and they sent me up here to Germany for my last 3-4 months. It sucked ass down there but i got to rut around in a quad cab hilux with the 3.0 turbo desiel. That thing kicked alot of ass, wish i could get one back to the states. Mudjunkie, you army guys have it pretty bad. But With the navy we are always going somewhere. never one place for a year. few weeks here couple months there then 7-8 monthes on a deployment. It gets bad always comming and going, hard the family. I will have over 8 months by the time i get state side then it will be 3 or 4 before they send me back out. Just glad i got sent to Germany and did not do the full 8 down range.
Thanks everyone for supporting the military. Just shows you one more reason why this site kicks so much ass.

I have been readin all these post about our fellow brothers in arms who have the GRIT to go over seas to kick a$$ and take names later... It gives me the goosebumps and makes me realize what we have here we shouldn't take for granted, nor should we take the brave for granted either. this post just struck a cord in me as i have friends and family overseas doin the same thing! I just wanted to wish all of you the best and a safe return home!! I also wanted to thank all of you who posted, shows that you care!! Later... Trav
