Just tossing this out here, to see if by any chance any body has one or has delt with one. I guess this is the most appropriate forum for this question.
Ok I have a 240 sx and just rebuilt the head, had it tested, all of that crap. Installed it all and now it overheats. I'm going to try a new thermostat as soon as I have the time to install it.
My other problem it it is the slowest damn sporty car I've ever been in. Does anybody know of any problems that could be causing the lack of power that it has.
Thanks

I had one of those engines in a four door stanza, and it was pretty fast, did you do a compression test after you installed the new head? Your overheating could be because the head gasket was installed upside down or flipped somehow. I did this in my silverado and it overheated.
Also why did you rebuild the head? Did you break your chain and had to do a valve job like me?

The car was my grandpas who isn't real good with cars. Well anyway it was in a parking lot and the front end was hit by a hitch on a truck that was backing up and went a little too far. It cracked the radiator, and the coolant leaked out and he pretty much cooked the head on the way home. I had the same thing happen with my explorer, my parents were driving it and it had a water leak they drove about 30 miles with no fluid. Never bothered to put in coolant, so the next day the head cracked. But it's all good, Now I have my 86 runner that hasn't given me a engine problem yet! *Knock on Wood*
