I have a 1993 toyota 4x4 5 speed. I get about 15-19 mpg. How could I increase this? My truck is missing its catalatic converter if that makes a difference. Thanks ;D

just the normal stuff. airfilter, free flowing exhaust. new plugs/wires. oil changes. always make sure your driving WITh the wind (haha) if you have bigger tires, maybe try regearing it. look at some of the other posts. this is a very comon topic.

Thanks, Sorry but whats a free flowing exhaust? Is a cold air intake worth it? Are any spark plug wires better than others, such as a certain brand? Oh yeah and i have the 22re.

Yes on the cold air intake. A free flowing exhaust is a muffle/cat and bigger pipes that have less back pressure than stock. Breete rwires have more copper in them i think which makes the electricity flow easier/faster/ less resistance.

I got some MSD Superconductors from Summit Racing. My old wires needed replacing and they were cheaper that factory Toyota ones and they seem to be working great. By all of the reviews I have read on them they are the best that you can buy. I know they were an upgrade from what I had before. I put a header on, and electric fan, and I have done everything that I can think of to help the engine out and it is doing quite well. I can get 10L/100km if I don't get on the gas at all which is quite good. And make sure that your truck is tuned and running in tip top shape. Have everything greased and properly oiled and have the motor running great and it should do well.
