I've got an 82 toy, in the proccess of being upgraded all around. I want to upgrade the steering so it is comfortable to drive on and off road. This would be with a 3-4" lift. What are my options?

With 3-4" of lift you could probably get away with an adjustable dropped draglink and an adjustable torque rod.
Cross-over steering would be better though.

Thanks, for all the links. I did a lot of reading, I think I know what I want now. Also are Spherical rod ends better or worse than the FJ-80 Ends.

Spherical rod ends are suppost to last longer, but haven't used them yet to really know. They will be better for massive flexing cuz they're made to go to greater angles, although I haven't had any problems yet with the FJ rod ends.

I've heard the spherical ball ends are only good for an off road only machine because they all to much play in the steering on road. I've yet to have a problem with the FJ 80 ends either and my front has good articulation.

I run Spherical rod ends. There is NO play. I dont think there is any flex difference in the two. The draw backs are its a more expensive setup and technically they are not street legal. What cop is going to know that?? Anyway they both work just fine. Racers use Spherical so i went with that.

Spherical rod ends are not legal for street use, and are not as readily available at a parts store as Chevy or FJ TRE's if you break one and need a replacment fast.
