Do you think the all pro full spool locker would work up front with a stock birfield or would it break it in no time. ( if it matters it will be used rockcralwing with 5:29s on 34 inch tires on an 84 x cab.)

I'll work, but you won't be able to steer.
Spool the rear, put something else in the front - Aussie, Lockrite, even a full Detroit would be better.

In tight turns while crawling over big rocks you have a good chance of destroying a birfield, even without the front end being locked.

In tight turns while crawling over big rocks you have a good chance of destroying a birfield, even without the front end being locked. Last weekend when we were out on a 10 rated trail, one of the guys totally destroyed a Longfield, but the stock birf in the other side was fine, go figure. I ran it with my front ARB off, cause I'm still running stock birfs.
