Mules rule and I liked your website too for those who didn't notice. I'd love to have 308 firepower handy...Hehe.... If your gone through this much so far...I wouldn't worry too much about putting it all back together. You seem to have your sh*t together. The only advice I have is make yourself some solid 8ga ground wires off the frame. One rear, one mid and another front. The world of 12v goes to sh*t without good grounds and is hard to trace. Get some multi strand high end wire and seal/crimp/enclose the ends well. I used to use Phoenix gold (bulk). The have all of the gold plated ends and heat-shrink fittings. The best thing I ever did was run 8ga off the alternator on all my other/older vehicles. Alt's fail due to amp draw. They can make power for ever, but it has to make it to where its going.
I guess that's a few things of advice.....
Stew. My house would be 12v if I had a choice.....

That'll be good. How's $50 sound? If this works, would you have any ideas on us getting it to California? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

$50 sounds great for the seat. I suppose I can UPS. The charge would be actual cost. Sorry I hadn't got back sooner. Been out of town. Well shot show threw a monkey wrench into things but today we were able make a little progress. Got to work on the leaf springs which were in good shape. Cleaned up, etched and primed. Add new bushings Some rust inhibitor. Got some Cab prep done. We only need to rough it up with a needle scaler and sander for it to accept bed liner. Little more work on the frame.

Damn I wish CMMG lived close to me so I could have some help with my 85 excab 4x4. I want to do a lot of things to it but I dont have a shed. I got is the dirt driveway and theres only so much you can do out there. I plan on a bodylift a suspension lift and some motor performance and plenty of cleaning up and maybe a paint job with some body work.

Hey Cmmg, It's been a while since I've been on the forum. I was wondering if you had a chance to take more progress pics of your 83 project?
