It seems as though nobody makes a snorkel kit for the 22R, lots for the 22RE but nothing for the carbureted version? I could always make one, but I prefer to have a clean looking factory unit. Has anybody ever adapted a snorkel intended for a different model Toyota to their 4th generation truck? Mine is a 1983 and I need the snorkel on the passenger side.
Any suggestions as to who makes a snorkel for the 22R, or who makes one that I could make work?

The kit for the Tacoma is a passenger side but I'm not sure how the actual fitment to the body lines would be on the '83. other than that it's pretty simple to adapt it with flex tube. Then you'll have to figure out how to mount it to the carb. Keep shearching and I'll see if I can find more info as well.

K&N makes a really nice snorkel adaptor, connecting it all together should not be the issue...I will look into the Tacoma snorkel, thanks for the suggestion!

Hell I make really nice ones out of PVC all the time. You can get plastic plates at most hobby stores, just put your pvc in and shape plastic plate around it to make it look slick. It's not that hard, really.
