R&P: ~$200/set x 2 master bearing/install kit: ~$100 ea x 2 labor: ~$65-75/hr for 4 hr
Typical prices, you may be able to find a better deal at some small local shop.
And the labor is based on you pulling out the 3rds and carrying them in.

What type of shop did you take it to? I know you probaly can't take it into your local Midas and get them to change it. Would a Transmission shop be the best?

i took it to a place by me called J&R transmission, the owner is the president of a 4x4 club by me and also competes in mud drags so he was very understanding of what i wanted. i learned about him from one of my friends so i would ask around. if you have a regular mechanic as them who they recommend

Someone at a tranny shop may know how to do it, especially a small independant shop, don't ever go to one of those chains (AAMCO, etc) even if your tranny is falling out . Best thing would be to ask friends that are geared or locked for referrals. Thay's how I found a good place in my area. If you lived in the Baltimore, MD area I could tell you where to go. ;D

There is a new shop in Des Moines Iowa, "Des Moines Off Road" this is the first of its kind in central Iowa, I'll start there. I wish there was a club in central Iowa that was not a Jeep only club
