For 35's I'd suggest 5.29 gears (although a lot of people run 4.88's). For lockers, a selectable locker like the ARB or e-locker would be best if you're interested in street manners. A Detroit, Aussie, etc for the front (or ARB if you have xtra $).

well it's enough so that you would definately notice but it's not super huge. Basically it's preferance. Personally i would go with 5.29's because it's pretty much bringing you back to stock and if you for some reason you do decide to get some bigger tires sometime you won't have to regear again. I say go with the 5.29's and either buy them from longfield all cryoed or get some and send them to him to get cryoed put them in and never look back.

For 35" tires the general thought is 4.88's if you do mostly on-road driving and 5.29's if it's mostly off-road.
5.29's do get you closer to the stock tire/gear ratio (based on 4 cyl/5 spd/4.10 gears).
Same for 4.88's and 33's.
Use one of the online calculators to determine which is best for you. Randys Ring and Pinion has one.

I have a 1994 toyota truck with a 5inch lift 33's .30 bore over stage 2 crane cam with stock 4.10's this summer i am going to go higher and to 35inch tires and i was wondering if 35's with 5.29's would really give me all the power and the 100m.p.h speed limit that everyone tells me i will have.

hitting a hundred in a yota i only have one thing to say.... good luck Why do you say that? I hit the rev limiter in 4th gear at 106 mph and I still have 5th to go(this is running 32"tires w/4.88 gear) I can do it with the 33's as well just no where near as fast but I can still hit the 100 mark

I am running a 4cyl 5spd right now with 33's and 4.10s and i cant get over 75 on a straight flat piece of land. but like i said i have heard that the 5.29's will get you to almost 100 m.p.h on the highway i want a gear that will let me go high speeds because i pretty much just use my truck for show and i drive on freeways that people go 90 on and they get a little p!ss#d because i am going so slow.

I would go with 4.88's on a manual trans set up it's what I have 2.7 w 5spd and 4.88's and swamper 33" and she does just fine on the hwy. 5.29's is too much gear for a hwy driven truck the engine is going to run at too high of a RPM.
