i found a good deal on a arb 8" locker for a v-6, and just wondering if it would fit for my 4 cylinder?

YES AND NO! IT WILL FIT IN A V6 HOUSING WHICH FITS IN THE AXLE HOUSING. IT WILL NOT FIT IN YOUR 4 BANGER HOUSING. SO ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS GET A V6 HOUSING AND GEARS YOU WANT TO RUN.

and by housing, i think he's talking about the third member...
cause the third members are interchangeable between 4cyl and v6 axles, but the gears inside the third member aren't... so i'm pretty sure you'd have to pick up a v6 third member and put the arb in that.
