Hey guys, I am hearing a bad creak/thump from my suspension i think when i am turning fully. Is there any ideas as to what it is?? My friends 4-runner has the same problem.

Try searching. I remember somebody on this board (I think) talking about this problem. I can't exactly remember what it was, but it is some worn out rubber cap or something like that. Anyway, my 4runner does the same thing, as well as my sister's fiancee's. Most people just live with the problem b/c its not that important. Of course, I could be totally wrong, but this is just what I remember.

the plastic caps on your steering stops are worn thru. no worries. u can get new ones at the dealer but they will wear out pretty quick.

A thump may be a CV, but if it is a loud screech its the steering stops.

Plastic caps <snicker>
When mine get to screaching again i get down and smear a dab of grease on the stearing stops. Im good to go for another couple of months.
CV's are usually a clicking not just one THUD.
