The other day I was trying to change the gear oil in my rear end and the fill and drain plugs were seized up solid. I rounded over the fill plug pretty good. I am just wondering what I should do. Should I just weld a nut on top of it and hit it with torch? Just don't want to mess anything up. Can't afford to swap it out for a new one.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

heat the plug with a torch and let it cool for a minute then take it out with vice grips. Failing that weld another nut on it like you said. Make sure your breather isnt plugged before you put heat to anything though.

The drain might come loose i didn't try very hard to get it off. No point in draining the fluid if you can't fill it back up. Thanks I will try it at work this week sometime.
