I am looking at LC engineering supercharger kits, and they have low boost and high boost. I am no expert, but am i right in assuming high boost has more power, but is more taxing on your engine? What would you recommend for my carbed 22R?
Thanks

unless you intend to beef up the bottom end of your engine, go with the low boost one or you'll see the pistons coming out of the bonnet and the conrods going out of the engine sidewall unless the crank gives way and you end up with an open bottom end! I'd go for the low boost, especially if it's your daily driver! Besides, unless you're going to compete in Iceland's Formula Offroad, you don't need that much boost for wheelin!

do an engin swap .. you'll be way happier with the horsepower (350/327chevy) , and it'll probabally cost you less money

slacker is right!! go bigger! I'm in Europe and we don't have your trucks but if not mistaken, both Tacoma and Tundra have supercharged engines! Not sure how easily they would fit though!

ok, thanks for the tips. Your probably right on the swaps, the supercharger kit is about $3000, its probably more worthwhile to swap in a newer engine. Personally I would like to keep it with a Toyota engine, im way too much of a fanboy to put a chevy engine in my yota. It would be cool to find a newer tundra engine with the supercharged v8, but i may as well just get the tundra lol. I will just make sure my next vehicle purchase is a 90s Landcruiser with the 4.2 Turbo diesel
