Hello from '98 4Runner

Hey Everyone,
My name is Paul and I own a 1998 4Runner SR5 V6.
I NEED HELP!!!
I'm having a hard time getting info on my truck. technical how to stuff, but more importantly the aftermarket parts available to it, and engine tuning/modifying options.
I was hoping I could tell you what I have and what I am looking for, and you could help point me in the right direction for possible mods. I also have a bunch of questions (not stupid one's I hope).

Here's what I have done...

BF Goodrich All Terrain's
Toyota Tacoma aluminum rims (2006 I think)
Clear lights up front
6 1/2" JBL's with JL audio 10" woofers amd JBL amp
K&N air filter
Borla cat back exhaust
Free flowing cat
Trailer (3'x4'x18" little) that is painted to match truck
Removed spare (many reasons such as weight dist and perf.)

Here is what I want

Better brakes (seriously what were Toyota thinking?)
Sway bar, shocks or something to give it more stability
Front and back chrome new bumpers that will last
The goods on supercharging (cost, mileage, reliability, hp gains)
I want to refinish the rims on it. Is DIY a good option?
Scoop the hood with air intake. Worried about mileage here.
Best Air Intake?
Cam and top end engine work? Would love to learn costs here.
Headers... what is available out there. Is it worth it?

I know a lot about most of the things listed above. What I am looking for is the experience you all have to offer.

First off, welcome to TOR. Sounds like you have a good plan going so far.

Don't deal with or know to much about Toyota's V6's so I'll leave that to someone else.

Better brakes
Are your calipers 2 or 4 piston? If 2 you can up grade them to a 4. Simple remove, bolt on, and bleed lines.

You should have the 1" bore master cylinder so it should be ok, but you could swap it out for a larger Chevy or other MC. This will take a little modifying to mount it.

Sway bar? What's that? ;D
For shocks look into Bilstein. A lot of aftermarket part suppliers carry them or you can go right to the source at Bilstein Shocks.com. Could also look into add a leafs for the rear. As for the IFS I can tell tell you how to rip it out and put in a solid axle.

Been thinking about doing this myself. Try the almighty There are some write ups on doing this. Just watch out for some of the pretty cheesy ones.
