i'm back actually!.........i was semi regular here about5 or 6 years ago.........i've always had a passion for toyota trucks,i'd always owned them in high school,lotsa memories, however life got in the way and i haven't owned a toyota truck since i was last on here!......a couple of minivans and 3 kids later, i finally managed to get my wife her own truck and she allowed me to do whatever i wanted with th minivan........so, naturally i sold it and found this truck in some guys back yard.......talked him into selling it to me for 600 bucks, and i'm back in action!it's a 1982 shortbox......3 inch body lift,small suspension lift, it's got 31's on it......it's only got 205,000 kilometers on it!, sat in the guys yard for 11 years!...classic toy ota though,new battery and some gas down the carb and she fired right up!good compression and oil pressure, so i know the motors got plenty of life left!.....it's got a locker in the rear end too!,welded or spool??i don't know,haven't had it apart yet but it's always locked.22r,5 speed the frame was rotten......already fixed that though,next is the floor boards , then the box, i've installed the push bumper,2 lights and a dixie horn so far,got a set of 54" leafs for the rear from an s10 that should work pretty good,they're quite soft .......can't wait to do more work on this truck!i'll put pics up.....having issues with the file size......coming soon
