Can someone tell me where all the fuses and relays are for the charging system on my 84 4Runner. I don't wont to run it charging at 15-16 volts as it will damage the battery, it all started when my brushes wore out and I put new ones in and then my charge wire broke off the alternator, I fixed the wire but the lights (charge,t-belt and filter) are still lit.

Charge light relay is by the kickpanel fuse box, at the bottom IIRC. We don't have the others here in the states (no diesel).

look down under to the left of ur gas/clutch/brake pedals in that kick panel. one of the fuses under there is alternator/charging system. I blew that fuse and didn't know it. So in the meantime I replaced my alternator and went through a bunch of tests, it turned out to be that fuse.

I was having issues with my 85runner. The charge light and the brake light were on. I tested the alternator at home and it was putting out 18v. Took the alternator and had it tested at two different stores. Both told me it was fine. Well I replaced the voltage regulator and brushes being they came with the regulator. I got the regulator and brushes off eBay. $18 I could not beat the price. I also replaced the ground wire from the back of the engine to the fire wall. Now it works like a champ. Well I hope this helps someone!
