Changing gages

I have a 1986 Toy which is being rebuilt from ground up. Is there anyone outthere that can help me out with this. I want to put in my own gages all white face and need to know the wire code on the stock harness or do I have to test each and every wire for each gage. Iam replacing all stock and eveing adding a few?

I think if you identify the wire colors for each sensor water temp, oil pressure and so on. The wire color should not change thru the harness so you should be able to find the corrisponding color in the connection that plugs into your factory gage cluster
