BudBuiltx-member with 2" DT lift front skidplate 4crawler 2" DT lift Bentup.com front bumper with winch mount The winch is the T-Maxx ew9000 outback The only thing left is but still undecided are to install crawler gears in the t-case and a exo-cage.

Revised
Well I decided to move the compact compressor and the dual battery isolator to make room for the second battery. I've decided to mount the compressor on the forward frame rail and I have to fab a vented box to keep the mud and debri to a minimum. The isolator is going to be mounted to the lower cover of the airbox.
I will update the pics(even the deleted ones) as soon as I find the motivation and time to deal with it ;D

We did some work on my rig this past weekend to take care of a couple of issues.I got tired of breaking leaf springs so I decided to install the 63" chevy's that I had for another project that I no longer have.I took my truck to kajobuilt.com/ John aka Kajo has recently retired from the Army and returned home from being stationed in HI. And it's good to have him around again. The install went pretty well.Though we did run into a couple of issues but nothing ever goes as planned. We also re-mounted the front bumper that I almost ripped off of the frame during a winter run a few months back.It turns out that the body mounts were giving and ripping apart. So we cut some 3/16 plate and few pices of 1" tube. The plate was used to reinforce the body mount itself and a couple of pieces on either side of the mount on the frame for support and tied it all together with the 1" tube. Then John welde the bumper itself to the frame. All I can say is this isn't going anywhere! ;D Normally I would not suggest to hard mount a bumper to the frame but since there isn't one job I can't do with the bumper in place I opted to go with welding it. Here's a few pics. I still need to cut off the excess shackle replace the brakeline and get longer shocks. i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc251/Hoodlum819/Tacoma/4runner013-2.jpgi215.photobucket.com/albums/cc251/Hoodlum819/Tacoma/4runner009-3.jpgi215.photobucket.com/albums/cc251/Hoodlum819/Tacoma/4runner010-3.jpgi215.photobucket.com/albums/cc251/Hoodlum819/Tacoma/4runner015-2.jpg

OK here's the deal.I've been having some issues with death wobble and spent a lot of time trying to find the issue to no avail. So I took it over to cc89iroc's shop to have them check the alignment.Well his brother found the problem. The subframe where the steering rack mounts at is failing. It is ripping from the subframe. So I'm going to have to SAS my Tacoma,No I do not like the idea of having to do this but it's the only way to keep the truck safe and be able to wheel it.I could ghetto fix it and be fine for the roads but what's the point in owning a 4x4 if your not gonna wheel it. ;D So my options are this
1.ghetto fix it 2.SAS with Toyota stuff 3.SAS with a Dana 60 with leafsprings 4.(my favorite) SAS with a Dana 60 with 3 link and coil overs

OK I have been busy as hell lately dealing with some family stuff.I'm getting back on track again.I've decided to SAS the Tacoma with leaf sprung suspension.I have to move so I had to scratch the link option to save money.I picked up a Ford hi-pinion Dana 60 front with Alloy 35 spline outer axle shafts, poison spyder high steer, tie rod with 3/4 heims, CTM u-joints, TERA drive flanges, Detroit locker, 5:13 gears. As well as a Dodge Dana 70 rear axle with Yukon chromoly axle shafts, Detroit locker, and 5:13 gears. Still has drum brakes though but I will go to rear disc once all the other work is finished. Kajo has had my bed finished for quite some time now but I still got to prep for paint and get the correct measurements for the custom soft topper.I got replacement sheet metal for the rocker panels,b-pillars,drivers fender and a roof panel. The roof panel got banged up pretty good that it would take to much bondo to repair.then it can go to paint. Once I move to Fla I will be instaling a interior cage as well as an exo-cage.I also ordered a pair of Corbeau baja recliner type suspension seats. We will be doing the work at my friend Kajo's because I cannot weld good enough yet to tackle this and his shop is nicer than mine. 8-)If it was a trail only rig I would give a go at it but since I drive this on public roads it's best that a pro do the welding. :-*I will how ever be doing most of the dirty work as far as cutting and grinding out the IFS stuff and prepping what ever Kajo needs done. The good news is that almost everything that is being removed is already spoken for.(Mike I still haven't forgot about the parts I promised to you ;D).The only stuff that is not spoken for is the IFS components ie,uppers, lower control arms, knuckles and the stock coils(no struts) I'm going with American Racing Thug teflon rims 17x8.5 with a 5-3/8" backspace but I still haven't decided on which size tire.I will be running Pitbull Rockers but can't decide weather to go 37x12.5's or 41.5x13.5's I'll figure that out as it get's closer.

No worries on the parts man... but looks like a great project ahead of you. I'll be looking forward to seeing the progress.
BTW, moving to FLA? You're gonna miss the snow, you know it!

Yep I have to move there for at least two years. My Grandmother passed away and left her house to me.If I don't homestead the property for at least two years I would have to pay capitol gaines tax and that's just too much $ to give to the government for something that already belonged to me(long story). So I'm going down there and hang out for the summer and start working with a friend of mine come the fall.I need the break anyhow.I've been going nonstop since Thanksgiving and I'm severely burnt out.

I picked up the axles at Hillside Customs in New Jersey and delivered them to Kajo's this past Sat.After we unloaded them we hit the chalkboard to work out the details of the build. We got some good ideas and can't wait to see how it works out.It will take a few weeks to complete and then the truck goes to FLA for the motor and trans swap. Then back to PA for our clubs annual main event in June. This is our 10th year and it's going to be BIG.

Well it been along time but things haven't gone as planned but for very good reasons. The build was put on hold for a few months but are now back on track. The rear D-70 is installed the bed is installed with all new hardware and the IFS stuff is removed.Just have to finish installing the front D-60,mount the tires 37x13.5 r17 Pitt Bull Rockers.take it for a shake down run and work out any bugs if they're are any.Pics will come once I can get them from kajo.

Well the SAS is just about finished. We ran into one issue with the oil pan.We originally thought that with the drive train lift that it would just clear but I was wrong.I have to get the oil pan from a 4cyl 2wd T-100 so it should be all buttoned up by next weekend.I'll post some pics in a week or so.

Thanks DP I can't take credit for the bedbob kajo's brother in law Bill is a body guy and he really put some extra effort into making the bodylines match up. I just got the parts ordered to do the T-100 oil pan swap.I thought that I would get away without having to do this with having the 2" DT lift but the pumpkin just barely hit the oil pan. Parts list for T-100 oil pan swap oil pan 12101-65030 hole plate 11494-75010 bolts (4) 91651-60614 pick-up tube 15104-75020 gasket 15147-75020 dipstick 15301-75020 dipstick tube 11409-75020

Well it's just about finished up.I need to get a few bolts for the bed.I need lug nuts for the wheels. I also have to fix a wiring issue that's in the fuse block in the dash. Lastly I have a major issue with the trans mount being in the middle of where the DS needs to go. I'll have to go to BudBuilt's shop to have a new custom X-member made to fix the problem.I'll probably have to move the X-member mounts as well. After a long time and many many distractions i finally got up to PA. and got my rig. yeah it's been a few years.lol the axles are done i just installed warn premium hubs.I had Tereflex slugs but I preffer free wheel on the street. Thanks to my friend Bill for finding and fixing the electrical issue. I've rewire all the non factory add-ons I have so everything is right and tight. I still have to change the shock mounts and i just talked to Bud BudBuilt.com and he's making my x-member. I also am changing up the Stout equipment rear bumper i got from snorkleman many years ago.

Getting closer! I got the GM1-ton master cylinder installed.I still have to redo the upper shock mounts for the front and weld on the lower mounts for the rear.I ordered the grommets and screws for the tail lights. Then I can atleast do a road test. I plan on changing up the rear swing gate on the Stout Equipment rear bumper I got from Snorkleman(wonder what he's up to these days) It doesn't accomendate carrying a 37" spare wheel. I had to cut too much of the trans x-member to mount the front shaft but bud BudBuilt is going to make me another custom one.then it'll be ready to hit the trails!
