I have a 1990 toyota pickup with the 3.0 V6. The other day I went out to start the truck and it started fine but would not "rev" up at all then after about 10 seconds of running the engine died. The truck would not start again. I think the truck flooded so I pulled out the EFI fuse and tried to start the truck so that the gas would burn out of the cylinders. Then I replaced the fuse, turned the key and the truck started fine but again would not "rev" up and then died after a few seconds again. I cannot figure out what is wrong. I guess it's a sensor or vacuum leak but can't figure out which one or where.

Thats kinda weird. I have the 3.0 v6 too. Have you done anything to the truck before this happened that might be related? Does it sound like it is running on all cylinders or is it sputtering? I would also check your airflow system and make sure something isn't cloggin it up. Maybe a fuel filter? I don't think its the EFI thats messing you up. Good luck

Have you checked for codes? Sounds to me like a fuel prob. The 3.0L is a PITA to check for fuel press. Slide under & have a friend try to start the engine. Listen for the fuel pump. Unclear?... Pull the connector @ the pump & check for power. Now, plug it back in & backprobe the connector & make sure the pump is getting power all the time while the eng. is running. If there's power, it's the pump. If no power, circuit prob. See Sid's posts for help on this. Be prepared that this could get complicated. Later...
