I want to make my 4runner fast as hell. I plan on dropping in a speedy motor, probably a mustang motor, or whatever you guys suggest. I also want to supercharge it in the future. Would it cost thousands and thousands of dollars to do this type of swap?? Also what motor would u suggest for speed? (not ferrari or sumthin like that!!) Thx.

What's the stock motor/transmission? It will make a difference as to what motor mounts are available for your particular application. Of course you can make custom motor mounts for just about any application, but the more complex the swap the more time/money it will take.

I have been contemplating an engine swap for my V6 too. OPne thing I was looking at is the 3vzfe from early 90's camrys. How does this compare to the 3vze in your truck? It has a lot more power and torque and the same displacement. Pretty much the same engine block im guessing. But its for front wheel drive. Does anyone know if this will work?
