i just came across a 1985 toyota 4x4 for 2200 bucks. It has 200,000 miles on it. Is that too much or should i go for it?

Gonna need more info on this one. Like what kind of engine and tranny? Body in good condition? What kind of condition is the engine? Has it been rebuilt? Is it solid axle or IFS? Is it a pickup or 4runner? Is the engine a 22R or 22RE? The RE is fuel injected and worth more.
If the body is in good shape and the tranny and engine are in good shape and it is a 22re, then this might be a decent deal. Although I would offer the guy $1500 and see if he budges on the price.

;D Yep, more info!! Although these trucks are getting harder to find by the day. And it's almost certain that you'll get a builder @ anything less than BIG $$$$. So, if it looks good to you, & you're willing to do the work, Buy it. Later...
