I currently have a 1988 Toy 4x4 with 31x12.5x15. I got it not to long ago and I am looking to really beef it up. I have heard that LC engin. is now making super charger kit for the 22re that runs around $2,200. Has anybody tried these?
My original plan was to swap out the 22re and go with the GM 350 that puts out 310hp and 375 ft/lbs.( I can get the 350 for around $3,000) What do you think is my best bet? Or does anyone have a suggestioon as to a better engine?

Well if you are really looking for 300+ horses, the supercharger from LC won't come close. Only good for about 60-70 extra horsepwer. I know a few guys that have put 350 into their late 80's Toys. You will have to do some work to the engine compartment to make it fit, and will still be tight. I've heard the 302 is a better fit(blockwise), but don't know anybody personally that has tried this swap. You might want to consider a GM V6 also. A H.O version of the 4.3 is good for around 200 horse. Check out downey.com and advanceadaptors.com for parts and info pertaining to your swap.
